Gail Udell, Nick Barr and Heather Zook won the privilege of having the Go Daddy
Custom Web Site team build, hone and spruce their Internet sites. Each winner
receives a Go Daddy Custom Web Site, which includes a 20-page Custom Page Layout
design, a one-on-one design consultation and one full year of hosting on the Go
Daddy Premium Custom Web Site Service.
All of Go Daddy’s more than 4.7
million customers were invited to write a compelling story about why they or
their business should be chosen for a Custom Web Site. The three lucky winners
were formally announced today.
The contest is the brainchild of Go
Daddy’s CEO and Founder Bob Parsons who appeared in front of a live audience on
national television during an episode of The Big Idea aimed at aspiring
entrepreneurs. The “Ultimate Renegade,” as he was billed in October, heard one
too many stories about budding business leaders who had inspirational stories
and solid products but didn’t have an online presence.
“It doesn’t have
to cost hundreds of dollars, you don’t need to be a tech whiz and we can help
you get up and running as quickly as anyone in the business – without a doubt,”
Parsons promised. “Our designers do a great job of bringing a customer’s vision
to life.”
The vision is at the heart of every successful entrepreneur’s
story. The three winners selected produced stories voicing their visions that
struck a chord with Parsons and his executive staff.
Winner Gail Udell
of the Emerald Family Down Syndrome Network explained in her submission, “Our
goal is to be a community of supporters for our children. We were missing a big
piece by not having a Web presence, and were limited in what we could do.”
