Dublin Institute of Technology Hosing Web Security Conference

More and more people these days are using the internet for shoping, banking and other financial matters secure transaction is of the upmost importance.

The Dublin Institute of Technology will host the third International Conference for Internet Technology and Secured Transactions, which will see experts gathering to discuss the evolution of these technologies.
This conference, which runs from 23-28 June, will bridge a gap between academia and industry by discussing the practical implementations of ongoing research in the area, as well as making a call for research papers on subjects including biometrics, e-society and corporate internet security policy.
One of the keynote speakers will be Mike Small, a principal consultant for security management strategy at US IT management firm CA, who has over 35 years experience in IT and worked on projects ranging from system software to artificial intelligence.
Former IBM systems engineer Sean Muftic, who has acted as consultant to VISA, the EU, the World Bank and US Federal Government, as well as Siemens, has been working on computer security since 1974 and will also form part of the keynote speakers panel.
Postgraduate students of DIT are also encouraged to participate in this conference by submitting research abstracts on web technology and secured transactions and will have the opportunity to take part in a workshop to progress their research and meet with established researchers working in the same specialised field.
